Research

I am totally fascinated with the world around us, and I love teaching others about how the Earth works. Pursuing and developing the knowledge of how the Earth behaves in order to help people around the world live with geologic hazards (particularly earthquakes and landslides, in my current research) inspires me!

Find more about the earthquake-induced landslide model I published here: https://blogs.agu.org/geospace/2018/07/24/researchers-develop-model-for-predicting-landslides-caused-by-earthquakes/

I teach the following courses:

Geology 107: Earth and our Environment

Geology 110: How the Earth Works!

Geology 130: Earthquakes – Agents of Destruction

Geology 130: Forensic Geology

Geology 132: Environmental Issues and Solutions

Geology 205: Reporting Skills in Geoscience

Geology 413: Introduction to Geophysics

I am also the faculty supervisor for Geology 117: Earth and our Environment Laboratory
