Academics

A passion for the science behind behavioral, mental, and social processes

As a student in the Department of Psychology, you’ll be part of a dynamic learning community. Whether you’re an undergraduate who wants to develop skills that can be useful in almost any career, or a graduate student committed to researching the neuroscience of addiction, you will find peers and faculty that are passionate about developing a scientific understanding of why people think and behave the way they do.

We offer two undergraduate degrees, as well as a master’s in industrial/organizational psychology. Our three doctoral degree programs are highly competitive.

Learn from experts in the field

Our faculty teachers and researchers are leaders in addiction neuroscience, applied social and organizational psychology, clinical psychology, and industrial/organizational psychology. You’ll be inspired in the classroom, and encouraged to collaborate on research in their labs, even as an undergraduate. Whether you’re considering a future as a clinician or are interested in scientific research experience that you can carry into a career in education, law, or industry, you will be mentored by the best.

We believe in fostering a strong sense of academic community, and work aggressively to recruit and retain a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
