Our research centers and equipment

Physics research centers enable our faculty and their student teams to engage in ongoing interdisciplinary projects, funded in part by federal grants and foundation support. We also maintain major equipment used in conducting physics research.

Research centers

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Center

Using the techniques of nuclear magnetic resonance, the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Center conducts basic and applied research on metabolism, and on structure-function relationships of biological macromolecules.

Integrated Nanosystems Development Institute (INDI)

INDI is dedicated to advancing nanotechnology-focused research, education, and outreach across campus and throughout the surrounding region. With a growing body nanoscale characterization, fabrication, and analytical instrumentation, coupled with technical expertise and proposal development services, INDI not only boosts research collaboration but also provides enhanced student development via training and integration into coursework.
