Indianapolis Brain Bee

Registration is now open! Simply submit the form on this page.

The Indianapolis Brain Bee is an annual event aiming to motivate high school students to learn about the brain and inspire the pursuit of careers in neuroscience research. The IUPUI Neuroscience Program sponsors the Brain Bee as part of the School of Science’s commitment to advancing scientific minds and fostering community interest in the sciences.

Open to students in grades 9–12, contestants in this spelling bee–style event answer questions about the brain and nervous system until a single student remains.

Winners receive a Dean of Science Scholarship to study any science major at the IUPUI Purdue School of Science!

Our first place winner will be able to compete in the 2022 USA Brain Bee Championship, which will be held virtually on April 9-10 by the University of Maryland.

You are able to start learning and studying now! All questions will come from the free Brain Facts book.

Are you a high school teacher? Let your students know about this event! And look for free study sessions hosted by our Neuroscience Club members.
