Internship/Co-Op Program with Eli Lilly and Company

Eli Lilly and Company is offering a one-year internship/co-op program to IUPUI students. We are inviting talented and highly motivated students who are interested in learning drug discovery to join Eli Lilly and Company. These scientists will conduct in vitro and/or in vivo assays to support our projects at different phases of the drug discovery process. This is a great opportunity to learn drug discovery and acquire industrial experience for their future career in Science and Technology.

Minimum Requirements

    • December 2016 or May 2017 BS or MS graduates
    • Rising Senior BS or MS students who have completed their courses; co-op is eligible for academic credit
    • Average GPA > 3.0
    • Average GPA for core/major curriculum > 3.3
    • Can work at Lilly full time (40 hours per week) for 12 months
    • Highly motivated and good communication skills
    • Good teamwork spirit

Highly preferred skills

    • Scientists who have working experiences in research laboratories, particularly those who have experiences with mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, biochemical assays, enzyme assays, cell biology or working with rodents
    • Familiar with Microsoft word, excel and power point

Life-Health Sciences Internships

Life-Health Sciences Internships connect IUPUI life and health sciences undergraduates with research and professional experience internships on and near the IUPUI campus. This program helps students to explore their career objectives and future career pathways while also fostering valuable professional connections between students and faculty and staff. STEM Summer Internship

The STEM Summer Internship Program is funded by the Center for the Advancement of STEM Education (UCASE) at IUPUI. It aims to engage Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students in educationally purposeful activities that allow them the opportunities to examine their interest in and disposition for teaching science in middle or high schools. STEM Education Interns receive $3,000 stipends for working full-time in seven-week summer internship positions at IUPUI and other non-profit organizations in Indianapolis. Learn more and apply.
