A department of leaders, dedicated to groundbreaking research

Psychology is defined as the scientific study of behavior and mental processes, and this means that scientific research is at the core of our discipline. Only five percent of the psychology departments in the United States exist within a school of science. As we stand shoulder to shoulder with mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, and computer science, research is critical to everything we do.

Interdisciplinary research is common throughout the School of Science, and the Department of Psychology is no exception, You’ll find strong collaborations between our faculty and members of units across campus.
