The Science and Engineering Laboratory Building, the first non-medical building to be built on campus in 20 years, is nearing completion along the Science corridor on Blackford Street between New York and Michigan Streets. The $25 million project will be the new home for biology, chemistry and psychology research and teaching labs as well as the new animal facility. The Purdue School of Engineering and Technology will control about 20 percent of space in the new facility.

Faculty and students are expected to begin moving in late this fall; the building is expected to be at full capacity by mid spring 2014.
